    Usage and tips

    Dried Phalaris Canariensis grass is a very popular floristic material used in creating dried bouquets, wreaths, seasonal decorations, and modern interior arrangements. Thanks to its small ears, it creates a fine texture and interesting volume that can beautifully complement various types of dried flowers and grasses.

    The bright orange color appears fresh, energetic, and optimistic. In decorations, it can create a striking color contrast or enhance the entire arrangement. It combines very well with, for example, pampas grass, lagurus, dried oats, natural-toned phalaris, lemon balm, or dried eucalyptus leaves.

    Phalaris is often used for:

    • dried bouquets and interior decorations
    • wedding arrangements in boho or rustic style
    • door wreaths and seasonal decorations
    • decorating tables and shelves
    • creative DIY projects and handmade creations

    Thanks to its sturdy stem, phalaris is very easy to work with. Simply shorten it to the desired length and incorporate it into an arrangement or a decorative vase on its own.

    Care and maintenance

    Dried grasses are low-maintenance and, when placed correctly, can retain their decorative appearance for a very long time. We recommend placing Phalaris in a dry environment without direct contact with water.

    Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause gradual fading of the color. It is also not advisable to place dried flowers in a humid environment.

    You can remove dust from the decoration with a soft brush or a weak stream of cold air, for example, using a hairdryer set to cold mode.

    Phalaris Canariensis originates from the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. In the past, it was mainly cultivated as bird feed, but thanks to its decorative ears, it gradually found its place in floristry as well. Today, it is among the most popular dried grasses used in modern decorations and interior design.
