Origin and processing
Helichrysum, also known as strawflower, originally comes from the Mediterranean and African regions. They are supplied to the Slovak market from nearby farms where they are grown without chemical sprays. The heads are hand-picked and gently dried, or colored, thus retaining their intense color, delicate scent, and natural shape. The products are fully compostable and ecological, with a low carbon footprint.
Care and maintenance
The heads require no maintenance, only a dry environment and protection from direct sunlight. Dust can be removed with a soft brush or cold air from a hairdryer. Store away from moisture and direct sunlight. Handle with care – the heads are fragile and break easily.
Interesting fact
The pink color of the immortelles symbolizes gentleness, tenderness, and love. Strawflowers are also known as "flowers of eternity" because they retain their beauty for years. In folk medicine, they were used for their healing properties and symbolize immortality – hence the name immortelle. Pink adds a romantic touch and an exceptional visual effect to arrangements.
