Origin and processing
This oat (Avena) originates from European farms. After careful harvesting, it was dried and then dyed to an intense purple shade (magenta). Hand processing ensures a natural appearance of the ears and even colouring.
In the past, oats were a symbol of nutrition and wealth. Today, it finds new use in floristry – its moving ears add softness and rhythm to arrangements.
Care and maintenance
Dried oats are low-maintenance. Do not water it and do not expose it to moisture or direct sunlight. Dust can be removed with a hairdryer on cold air or a soft brush. Treatment with a special spray for dried flowers is also recommended.
