Origin and processing
Nigella orientalis – also known as love-in-a-mist – was cultivated in Europe. After harvesting, it was gently dried and then dyed a deep dark purple color, reminiscent of gentian tincture. The flowers are light, airy, and have an original texture that holds its shape well in arrangements.
Care and maintenance
Black cumin requires no special care. Store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight and high humidity. If it gets dusty, simply blow it gently with cold air or use a brush. For revitalization, you can use a spray for dried plants (e.g. SPRING pro florist).
Interesting fact
Nigella was once considered a symbol of mystery, protection, and feminine energy. In traditional culture, dried parts of this plant were hung indoors as a talisman.
