Origin and processing
Nigella orientalis – Eastern Nigella (black cumin) – originates from the Mediterranean and Western Asia, where it has long been cultivated for its decorative seeds. It is harvested in full maturity for use in arrangements, when the capsules have ideal firmness.
It is then dried through a natural, slow process that preserves its shape and structure. After natural drying, the seed pods are treated with an even metallic spray in a champagne shade, which enhances their structure and gives them a subtle pearlescent sheen.
These dried flowers are stable, durable, and suitable for professional as well as home arrangements.
Care and maintenance
Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not expose to moisture or wind – the flowers are delicate. They require no maintenance, but be gentle when handling to avoid breaking the flowers.
