Origin and processing
Setaria italica, also known as "foxtail millet", is among the oldest cultivated grasses in the world. It was cultivated as far back as 8,000 years ago in northern China, where it was part of rituals, meals, and decorations. Later, it spread to Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
Plants intended for decorative processing are harvested at optimal maturity – when the ears are full, flexible, and have a uniform structure. Drying takes place naturally in the shade, which ensures the preservation of its beautiful structure and long-lasting durability.
The green color is applied using delicate decorative dyes that are stable and suitable for indoor use. The processing is free of unpleasant odors, suitable for professional floristry purposes.
