Product detailed description

Usage and tips

• Ideal for wreaths, natural bouquets, autumn, winter, and wedding decorations – wheat adds visual stability and fills out the arrangement without appearing cumbersome.
• Beautifully suited for boho, rustic, and minimalist compositions – depending on what you combine it with.
• The light red shade creates a subtle color accent that complements natural and vibrant colors and brightens a neutral palette.
• Holds its shape excellently and doesn't break, making it suitable for creating large wreaths, gates, door decorations, or filler parts of arrangements.
• You can achieve a beautiful effect by layering the ears in different directions or combining them with other grains – barley, oats, or triticale will create an authentic "farmer's" look.
• For a boho style, mix with light pampas, lagurus, and natural phalaris – creating a delicate, "dusty" composition.
• For a warm autumn mix, combine with mustard achillea, rusty everlasting flowers, burgundy amaranthus, and bronze ruscus.
• For a fresh spring mood, add white gypsophila, yellow glixia, and natural setaria leaves – wheat will add stability and a natural base to the composition.
• As a standalone piece, it also looks beautiful in a tall, narrow vase – suitable for minimalist interiors as an all-year-round decoration.

Origin and processing

Wheat (Triticum aestivum) is among the oldest cultivated grains in the world. Its domestication began almost 10,000 years ago in the Fertile Crescent, from where it spread to Europe, Asia, and later the whole world. In ancient Mesopotamia, wheat was the foundation of life – forming the core of the economy, trade, and rituals.
The ears intended for decorative processing are harvested at full maturity, when the husk is firm, the grain is hard, and the stem has reached maximum flexibility. Subsequently, the bundles are dried naturally in the shade to prevent deformation of the grains and fading of the texture.
The dyes used are gentle, certified for decorative purposes, and fixed so that the ears maintain long-term color stability. The processing is free of chemical odor, also suitable for interiors, home decorations, and professional floristry use.

Care and maintenance

Do not water, do not expose to direct sunlight or moisture. We recommend storage in a dry and shaded place. Dust can be removed using cold air from a hairdryer or a soft brush. For refreshing colors, use a spray for dried flowers, e.g. SPRING pro florist.

Interesting fact

Wheat has long been considered a blessed plant. In ancient Greece, it was an attribute of the goddesses Demeter and Persephone, a symbol of the cycle of life, rebirth, and fertility. In Rome, ears of wheat were added to wedding wreaths as protection against evil and to ensure family prosperity.
In the Middle Ages, inns were decorated with sheaves of wheat – it was believed they attracted a good harvest and repelled evil spirits.
The light red used on these ears symbolizes gentle energy, vitality, creativity, and life force. It is a shade that appears positive, encouraging, yet still natural. It is not a harsh, saturated red, but a softer, lighter tone that adds a warm touch and pleasant dynamics to decorations. The interior feels warm, harmonious, and creates a sense of coziness.
