• Excellent as a main accent for dried bouquets or as a delicate filler for larger arrangements.
• Works beautifully in wreaths – especially in combination with natural wicker, straw, or wooden bases.
• For an elegant, timeless mix, combine with cream strawflowers, bleached ruscus, and grey lagurus.
• For more contrasting arrangements, add mustard yarrow or delicate pink glixia.
• In a minimalist interior, it also stands out on its own in a vase, especially with ceramics in natural tones.
Flax (Linum usitatissimum) is a traditional European plant with a long history of cultivation. After ripening, it is harvested whole to preserve the natural shape of both stems and seed pods. It then undergoes gentle drying, which ensures strength, low breakage, and longevity. The vintage blue shade is achieved through delicate dyeing, which enhances the texture of the flax without losing its natural character.
Dried Flax is maintenance-free. It does not require water or special care. Store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. If dusty, we recommend gently blowing it with cool air from a hair dryer or using a soft brush, or reviving it with a spray for dried plants (e.g. SPRING pro florist).
Flax is one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world. In addition to textiles, its stems and flowers have been used for centuries as a decorative element – precisely for their delicacy, natural shine and ability to "fall" beautifully in arrangements. Flax has been a symbol of purity, renewal, and life balance since time immemorial. In the past, it was associated with domestic happiness and protection. In decorative art, blue is associated with harmony, stability, and trust. The vintage blue tone is softer than classic blue, with a slightly dusty appearance, adding a sense of calm and timeless elegance to arrangements – ideal for interiors aiming for a balanced and cozy feel.
