Spikes for conical candles are especially useful for Advent wreaths, table decorations, and seasonal arrangements where you need to place the candle stably and at the correct height. The spike pin allows for easy attachment to the wreath base or decorative base, so the candle stands straight and the composition looks tidy.
Tips for placement:
• For the wreath base: firmly insert the spike into the wreath (if necessary, reinforce stability with wire depending on the base type) and then add dried materials and decorations.
• For a wooden board: prepare a hole/space for the pin and insert the spike so that the candle stands vertically (if stability is needed, you can use suitable glue).
• For castings (e.g. Keraquick): insert the spike into the material when it starts to set – it's easier to adjust the verticality and the result will be clean.
• For self-hardening mass: press the spike into the fresh mass and let it harden with the spike already in place – this will create a stable candlestick base for further arranging.
Composition tip: Before decorating, plan the position of the candles (circle/square), check for verticality and spacing. Only then add the material – this way the candles will remain visually "clean" and the composition will be balanced.
Care and maintenance
After the season, remove wax residue and wipe the spike with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Store in a dry place to maintain its appearance. With proper handling, the spikes are suitable for repeated use.
